Professor Bruno Lima has dedicated his life to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu ever since stepping onto the mat at 15 years old in 1998. Over 20 years later, Bruno is now a 3rd degree black belt under Mestre Juarez Soares da Costa from Team DDR Jiu Jitsu in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil.
Bruno’s passion is teaching high level athletes and students of all ages and levels alike. Bruno got his teaching start assisting Mestre Juarez Soares in competition training classes at the DDR Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy. He began working with the government to teach underprivileged kids in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil soon after. With over 10 years of experience teaching all ages and levels, Bruno loves teaching classes that are both fun and focused on great quality techniques.
Bruno has competed prolifically in high level BJJ tournaments and competitions for over 10 years and has won various titles, such as Brazilian National Champion, Rio De Janeiro State Champion, and Pan American Medalist (CBJJE).
To aid in competing and teaching, Professor Bruno Lima graduated from college in 2006 and has two master’s degrees in both Biomechanics and Physiology.
